The Cruise Control may need activating via the ECU, This is a 5 minute job & can be done with VAG-COM or VW diagnostic tool 1551, 5051 or a VW Dealer / Specialist in your area.

Please Note: Older Engines (Such as 2.8 V6 AGP) may require 00003 to activate cruise control or 00004 to deactivate the cruise control.

 

Problems?
With VAG-COM, Check [01 - Engine] & Measure Block 66, you'll see 00000 which corresponds to the Clutch/Brake Switch & the ON Switch on the cruise control stalk, +(Resume) & -(set) actions.

Press each switch (inc Brake & Clutch) & the 0's should change to 1's
